It happened so, that Valery Shomin did not manage to compete for the podium. Just one miss let him down to the 5th place.
Georgios Salavantakis also suffered a miss, that made him rank the 6th. Jan Sychra felt himself a bit more confident, having 3 points handicap before the final. As it turned out, it was enough to win the Champions’ title, in spite of the two misses suffered. Ralf Buchheim (GER), Antony Terras (FRA) and Ennio Falco (ITA) shoot accurately and had no misses and consequently were involved in the shoot-off for the silver and the bronze.

Competitions on trap were to close the 33rd European Championships in Shotgun. To begin the last competition day they hold three qualification rounds, and to proceed there was a fascinating final, with Valery Shomnin from Russia among its participants.
It happened so, that none of the Russian juniors managed to qualify to the final. Andrey Garanin (112 points) ranked the 15th, followed by Alexander Zemlin (111 points), considered as one of the main hopes of the Russian junior team. Evgueny Molodin started the competitions in a quite confident manner, hitting 49 targets out of 50, though having suffered five misses, finished qualification on the 19th place (111 points). Quite clear, that it was pretty difficult for Russians to claim for the team podium. As a result, they ranked on the 6th place, strongly defeated by Germany, having 346 points, three more than Sweden, which ranked the second, and five more, than the British team, awarded by bronze.
